Instrument-based devices for pediatric vision screening are recommended to assess the risk for ocular problems in infants as young as 12 months and should be repeated at well-child visits from age 24 months through 5 years, according to a policy statement issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). At CH.A.M.Ps Pediatrics we use gocheck kids, which is an easy and fun for toddlers way of screening for vision impairment. Results are sent directly to the parent and patient's chart.
